Administration Department

The Administration Department oversees initiatives related to general Village administration, communications, human resources, intergovernmental relations, constituent service, and internal service delivery to other departments in the Village.

The Village Administrator is the Chief Administrative Officer. This person reports directly to the Mayor and Board of Trustees on the management and operation of the Village.

The Special Projects Manager manages communications, information technology, employee relations and engagement, risk management, training, and interdepartmental project management.

The Management Analyst is responsible for developing, managing, organizing, and implementing all special events, media, communication, and other projects related to community engagement.

The Administrative Services Manager serves as secretary to the Mayor, Village Administrator, and other administrative staff while acting as the Village health and liability insurance claims coordinator.

The Deputy Village Clerk maintains the Village's records, serves as the Village's Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Officer, and processes special assessments, liquor license applications, and water and sewer recapture.

Finance Department

The Finance Department provides an internal service function for the Village Board and Administrative operations. Its mission is as follows:

Financial Management: To prepare timely and accurate financial information for analysis and decision-making. Services include monthly and annual accounting, payroll, and analysis work; preparation of monthly and annual financial statements; preparation of the annual Tax Levy; and the coordination and development of the annual budget.

Cash, Investment, and Debt Management: To develop and maintain investment policies and strategies to maximize the Village's funds while maintaining safety and liquidity, including overseeing debt structure and ensuring cash position and fund balances are maintained.
